Robert Valentine IV Productions is an iconic hip-hop artist that is motivated by making his message heard. After honing his skills and abilities, Robert produced his first song in 2022. After receiving great feedback on his track, Robert reached out asking for help starting up a brand Identity so he can further his influence in the hip-hop scene.
As a fan I took up this offer quickly and convened with Robert to discuss how he would like his brand be known. Here is how it happened:

Brainstorm
Our first step in creating his brand was discussing how he wants to be known. Robert wanted a calm, clean, and cool brand that evokes a feeling of composure. He also really wanted a raven as part of his trademark.
What better bird to depict cool, calm, and collected than the raven?

Logo Lockup
I created this logo to compliment his prefix “IV” and chose a clean sans serif font for the lock-up.

Pallet and Mock Ups
I chose a color pallet of the tertiary oranges gradating from red to yellow. The ferocity of these colors combined with darker tones gives off the composed vibe.
For his business card I maintained the same fonts and logo; however, I found it best for the card to be double colored like presented with copy on the white side.

Merchandising
If Robert isn’t wearing business attire, you can find him in his many hoodies. He wants all his fans to experience the comfort of the best hoodies money can buy.
